The image of the Cerberus, with its three heads, speaks to me of having many identities existing simultaneously within one body. The human elements combined with the borzoi evoke aspects of transformation, evolution, and hybridity. Chinese scroll paintings and Qinghua pottery, with its signature blue and white decoration, inspired the methods and mediums used to create this piece. This scroll is entirely hand-stitched, and uses the threads from the fabric itself so as to keep continuity with the unique colour and texture of the canvas, and to waste as little as possible.
