A Prayer for Vengeance and Surrender

Chi: “i’ve been weed whacking my way through ideas of blood lineage, and fraught attempts at non-blood community and family. What does it mean to connect with ancestor hood, when it is likely that my predecessors colonized the ancestors of my loved ones, for example? and what to do with feeling like we must hold each other close to survive, and have burning desires to strike out at one another. This piece is a meditation on anger that has no place to go. Unseen and unaffirmed, the anger turns inward to our spirits and seeps from our mouths and fingertips to touch the people we want to love.”
